Drawing From Life

For beginners or those who wish to brush up on drawing skills. Work from still-life to explore proportion and placement of objects, contour line to understand form, and light to create there dimensionality of objects.



Woven Airtight Canister

Weave dyed reed over a glass cylinder on a wood base. Choose from a variety of colors to create a canister that is 5″ tall x 3.5″ in diameter.



Flower Pounding (Hapazomes)

Use the beauty of nature to make these special prints made directly from the natural pigments in flowers and leaves. Create at least two prints that will be ready to frame.  For all skill levels.



Encaustic Workshop

Learn the cold wax encaustic method.  Add a soft, beeswax mix into oil paint which is applied to an encaustic board and melted with a heat gun. Successive layers of paint are built up and mixed media elements can be added to the layers to create both representational and abstract pieces of art. It’s the grown up version of melting Crayon with your mother’s iron!  For all skill levels.



Fused Glass: Wall Hanging

Learn to fuse glass to create a one of a kind wall hanging.  The popular workshop is for all skill levels.



Introduction to Pine Needles

Saturday, September 18  |  10:00am – 1:00pm  |  $40 ($55 non-members)  |  Supply Fee: $12  |  Instructor: Sandy Bulgrin  |  REGISTER HERE

Coil pine needles onto a ceramic base, and stitch with waxed linen. A variety of colors and tray designs are available, and the project can be embellished with beads.

Payment and Refunds

Payment in full is due at the time of registration.  Cancellations made at least two weeks prior to the start of the workshop or class will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within two weeks of start date will not receive a refund.  A full refund will be issued if the museum cancels a workshop or class.
