SPARK!

SPARK! programs are designed for people in the early-to-mid stages of memory loss to visit with their family and care partners.

Exploring Family History

Dinosaur Fossils

Friday, September 20  |   2:00pm – 3:30pm

At this meeting of SPARK!, Dinosaur Discovery Museum Educator Nick Wiersum will show the group a collection of fossils and answer the age-old question, “What is a Dinosaur?”  SPARK! participants will also have the opportunity to handle and clean dinosaur fossils at the event.


G.I. Joe: America’s First Action Figure

Our SPARK! participants will tour the new exhibit at the Civil War Museum called G.I. Joe: America’s First Action Figure.


Tour Rooted Visions

Friday, November 15  |  2:00pm – 3:30pm

SPARK! members will tour the new Kenosha Public Museum gallery Rooted Visions, an exhibition featuring the work of twenty-five Southern Black artists who used found objects and ordinary materials to create art that tells visionary stories. Members will have the opportunity to create their own art using non-traditional materials after the tour.


Victorian Ornaments

Friday, December 20  |  2:00pm – 3:30pm

SPARK! Members will create Holiday ornaments based on the traditions of 19th-century America.
