The Kenosha Public Museums Summer Camp Scholarship Program provides young people in need of financial assistance the opportunity to attend summer camp. We encourage young people of all diverse backgrounds to apply.

Winter Camp
Wintersaurus Camp

Take a break from Winter Break! Did you know that dinosaur fossils have been found on every single continent on Earth? Even Antarctica! Join the Kenosha Public Museum for a morning of fun, learning about dinosaurs from the Arctic and Antarctic, through hands-on experiments with real and cast fossils, and crafts.

Discovering Dinosaurs

Get early access to the Dinosaur Discovery Museum as we explore the unique connection between dinosaurs and birds. Get hands on with real fossils, learn about the different tools paleontologists use and how to excavate a dinosaur, and even make your own fossils to take home!

Are you ready for the ultimate prehistoric adventure? Step back in time and join us at Dino Camp, where young explorers can immerse themselves in the world of dinosaurs. Build your own dino fossil model, create dino-themed art, and enjoy a private tour of the Dinosaur Discovery Museum.

Studio Art Camp
Tuesday, June 23 – Thursday, June 25 | 10am – 12pm | $60 ($75 non-members)
Let your little artist’s imagination run wild, every day of camp is a new opportunity to explore, create, and express themselves through the magic of art. From watercolor painting, shaping clay and recycled materials to uniquely carved prints, your child will explore a variety of fun mediums to bring their visions to life.

Space Camp

Blast off into an unforgettable adventure at Space Camp! Kids will journey through the stars as they explore constellations, planets, and distant galaxies through a variety of experiments and crafts. Get ready for an out-of-this-world experience!

Art Around the World Camp
Tuesday, July 14 – Wednesday, July 16 | 10am – 12pm | $60 ($75 non-members)
Explore the world through creative expression with activities like crafting intricate sand mandalas, painting Aboriginal dot figures, experimenting with Japanese spilled ink prints, and decorating traditional Matryoshka nesting dolls. Each art form offers a fun and hands-on way to learn about different cultures while developing artistic skills.

Oceans Camp

Dive into the wonders of our oceans! rivers, and lakes. Discover incredible sea creatures, from vibrant fish to majestic whales, while learning about their unique habitats.

American Art Camp
Tuesday, August 4 – Thursday, August 6 | 10am – 12pm | $60 ($75 non-members)
Learn about a few important Americans and the impact of their artwork on the world, and then try their techniques yourself in this three-day camp. From the chaos of Abstract Expressionism to the color theory of Alma Thomas, find new ways to see the world around you.

Dungeons & Dragons
Tuesday, July 22 – Thursday, July 24 | 10:00am – 4:00pm | $120 ($150 for non-members) | Ages 11-14

Storytelling is an integral part of every culture around the world. They are used to explain the natural world, remember histories, and for entertainment. Through the vast fantasy of the Dungeons & Dragons campaign setting, learn about storytelling, create your own characters, and go on a fantastic adventure. If you’re ready, let’s roll initiative! Participants will receive everything they need to play–a set of dice, a character miniature, and a character sheet. Throughout this three-day camp, we will cover basic character creation, so please do not bring a prepared character sheet with you.
**Please send your child to camp with a bagged lunch each day. **
Cooking Camps
Learn how to make a full dish with Museum Staff to enjoy as a prepared lunch with parent or guardian upon pick-up. Must register for each day individually. Ages 10-13.

That’s Amore

Whether your child is a budding foodie or a kitchen novice, this workshop is the perfect opportunity for young chefs to develop essential kitchen skills, cultivate a love for cooking, and gain confidence in their culinary abilities. In this class, students will make:

An Afternoon in Asia

If your child has been selected to receive a scholarship, you will be contacted directly. Due to the high volume of applications this year, we are only able to reach out to those families who have been awarded a scholarship.
Thank you for your interest in our programs. Scholarship applications will reopen in early 2026.

Cancellations and Refunds
A full refund will be issued if the Kenosha Public Museum, Dinosaur Discovery Museum, or Civil War Museum cancels a workshop or camp.
All refunds requested within 72 hours of the program are subject to a $10 processing fee.
No refunds are offered on or after the day a workshop or camp begins.
Class cancellations can happen if enrollment minimums are not met two days prior to the event. You will be contacted via phone or email if your event is canceled.
If unforeseen circumstances (i.e. weather, power outages, instructor illness) occur within 72 hours of the workshop or camp and the program must be canceled, the museum will do its best to reschedule or provide a voucher to take a program of a similar or same cost.
