What is the process to volunteer?
Requirements:
Volunteers must be able to work independently and in a team environment, be detail oriented, have a positive attitude, commit to our mission-driven work, be passionate about the museums, and enjoy interacting with the public. Volunteers must be able to commit to one year of service.
Volunteers are generally 18+. Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis; no volunteers under the age of 16 will be considered.
Submit an Inquiry Form:
If you’re interested in volunteering, please fill out our volunteer inquiry form. Based on your availability, skills, preferences, and enthusiasm, you will be contacted for an interview.
Due to limited working space, availability, and museum need, we cannot guarantee every volunteer request can be fulfilled.
Next Steps:
After an interview has taken place and a committed schedule has been agreed upon, all new volunteers will attend an orientation. During this time, you will receive a tour, meet staff, discuss policies, expectations, and receive training.
