SPARK!
SPARK! programs are designed for people in the early-to-mid stages of memory loss to visit with their family and care partners.
This monthly program engages participants in lively conversations, storytelling, object handling, and other multi-sensory activities that relate. Space is limited so reservations are appreciated. For more information or to register, please call 262-653-4432 or send an email to spark@kenosha.org

Christmas Candy Houses

Bring your creativity to make a holiday-inspired house out of graham crackers, treats, and candy.
It’s Cold Out There!
Friday, January 16
In this SPARK! session, our group will explore the items that Civil War soldiers used to survive the cold of winter.
Voices of Freedom From the Underground Railroad
Friday, February 20
Learn the history of the Undergound Railroad in the Midwest and meet several of the Freedom Seekers who traveled its routes to Canada and freedom.
Colorful Collages
Friday, March 20
Our group will use colorful shapes to create designs on paper, picture frames, and more.
Natural Dyes
Friday, April 17
To celebrate Earth Day, our group will make natural dyes out of plants, fruit, and vinegar.
Civil War Games…and Bingo!
Friday, May 15
What games did Civil War soldiers play to pass the time? Our SPARK! group will play some of them, then host our own version of Bingo! for fabulous Civil War-themed prizes.
Riding for the Union
Friday, June 26
A new exhibit called Riding for the Union is open and summer is here. Let’s celebrate by touring the new gallery and with ice cream on the Civil War Museum terrace.
