Sunday, September 25 – Wednesday, September 28, 2022
Kentucky played a key role in the Civil War, as the site of the decisive Battle of Richmond, the bloody Battle of Perryville, and as home to Camp Nelson – one of the largest African-American recruitment and training centers in the nation. The Civil War Museum is sponsoring a guided campaign tour of the Civil War sites of Central Kentucky. The tour will be based out of Lexington, and will visit many of the iconic sites of this important border state. Civil War Author Chris Kolakowski will act as our step-on guide for many of the sites.
