Fused Glass Workshops
Fused Glass 2 Nightlights

Create two one-of-a-kind fused glass nightlights in this hands-on workshop. Using colorful glass pieces, you’ll design and assemble your own unique patterns while learning the basics of glass cutting, layering, and fusing. Your finished designs will be fired in a kiln and later mounted into nightlight bases, ready to brighten any space.
No prior experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. Finished nightlights will be available for pickup at a later date once firing is complete.
Fused Glass 2 Suncatcher Rods

Design and create two vibrant fused glass suncatchers in this creative, hands-on workshop. Participants will arrange colorful glass pieces onto glass rods to form eye-catching designs that catch and reflect the light. You’ll learn the basics of glass cutting, layering, and fusing while creating pieces that add color and sparkle to any window or garden space.
No prior experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. Finished suncatchers will be kiln-fired and available for pickup at a later date once firing is complete.

Winter Acrylic Painting Beginner and Beyond

Be enchanted with texture and color in acrylic paint! Students will learn how to construct a painting by determining basic composition, blocking in the underlying dark, middle, and light values, and layering color. Students will work from an image of an impressionist painting. This class is perfect for those who are beginners or have previous experience and want to expand their skills in acrylics. A supply list will be sent to students when they sign up.

Designed for painters of all skill levels, come explore the magic of watercolor painting. Each of the six sessions will begin with a demonstration showcasing the technique of the day. Students are instructed on several different watercolor applications.
Fiber Arts Workshops
Woven Winter Snowflakes

Weave your own keepsake snowflakes in this fiber art class. Students will use a jig to start out this fun winter project and create two snowflakes. Some color choices of dyed reed will be available to choose from. Snowflakes measure 5 inches and 4 inches.
Wet Felt Soap

Complete the winter hygge and cover your soap in a warm woolly sweater! Learn the basics of wet felting while making a cute gift or a lovely addition to your powder room. No experience necessary, all supplies are included. You will make 2 bars of soap.

Golden Wire Wrapped Jewelry Set

Give your jewelry-making skills a glow up as you learn how to wrap and create shapes with golden wire and colorful beads. You will learn how to make a wire-wrapped leaf pendant necklace as well as a pair of earrings in this 1.5-hour class. All supplies are included, no experience is necessary.

This workshop has been canceled due to low registration.
Cancellations and Refunds
A full refund will be issued if the Kenosha Public Museum, Dinosaur Discovery Museum, or Civil War Museum cancels a workshop or camp.
All refunds requested within 72 hours of the program are subject to a $10 processing fee.
No refunds are offered on or after the day a workshop or camp begins.
Class cancellations can happen if enrollment minimums are not met two days prior to the event. You will be contacted via phone or email if your event is canceled.
If unforeseen circumstances (i.e. weather, power outages, instructor illness) occur within 72 hours of the workshop or camp and the program must be canceled, the museum will do its best to reschedule or provide a voucher to take a program of a similar or same cost.
