Good Day! Good Day! Have a seat and enjoy this wonderful train ride. Ain’t this just the marvel? Well, the country sure passes quickly.

I’m Assemblyman Charlie Foster from over by St. Paul in Minnesota. I’m off to Washington to see President Lincoln. I was one of his first backers west of the Mississippi and count him as a good friend, yes indeed, a good friend. Well, he’ll be the first to say Ol’ Charlie was there for him at the Republican Convention in Chicago. His right hand man, so to speak, if I say so myself.

I want to ask Abe whether he needs a little help there in Washington. Might be a good opportunity for me as well. We’ll see.
